In the beginning there was a word . . .

The Word that allows Yes
The Word that makes No possible.

The Word that puts the Free
in freedom
and takes the
Obligation
out of love.

The Word
that throws a window open
after the final door
is closed.

The Word upon which
all adventure,
all exhilaration,
all meaning,
all honour
depends.

The Word that fires evolution's
motor of mud.

The Word that the cocoon
whispers to the caterpillar.

The Word that separates
that which is dead
from that which is living.

The Word no mirror can turn around

In the beginning
was the Word
and the Word was . .
Choice! 1

There are always two choices.
Two paths to take.
One is easy.
And its only reward is that it's easy.
2
Where are your choices taking your life?

For . . .
You always do what you want to do.
This is true with every act.
You may say that you
had to do something,
or that you were
forced to,
but actually,
whatever you do,
you do by choice.

Only you
have the power to choose for yourself.
You always have other options. 3

Be miserable.
Or motivate yourself.
Whatever has to be done,
it's always your choice. 4
When we acknowledge that all of life is sacred
and that each act is an act of choice
and therefore sacred,

then life is a sacred dance
lived consciously each moment.

When we live at this level,
we participate
in the creation of a better world.
6
We cannot escape choice:
not choosing,
and
not doing
are still choices . . .

Every choice moves us closer to
or farther away from something.
Where are your choices taking your life?

What do your behaviours demonstrate
that you are saying
yes or no to
in life?
7

It's not who you are
that holds you back,
it's who you think you're not. 8

When you chose not to decide you have already
made a choice . . .
9

If you hear a different drummer-dreamer,
take the chance
The road you choose to travel
means the difference in the dance.

Based on a contribution from Laverne Spencer
Each choice we make
causes a ripple effect in our lives.

When things happen to us,
it is the reaction we choose
that can create the difference
between the sorrows of our past
and the joy in our future.
5
Life is Choice; not Chance
