Cherish your visions.
Cherish your ideals.
Cherish the music that stirs in your heart,
the beauty that forms in your mind,
the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts,
for out of them will grow all delightful conditions,
all heavenly environment - of these,
if you but remain true to them,
your world will at last be built.

You have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn't worked.
approving of yourself and see what happens. 5

Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours.
They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge.
If you had all the money in the world,
you couldn't buy an extra hour.
What will you do with this priceless treasure?
Remember, you must use it,
as it is given only once.
Once wasted you cannot get it back.

Maybe . . . The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Maybe . . . Happiness waits for all those who cry, all those who hurt, all those who have
and all those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of all
the people who have touched their lives.

Maybe . . . You should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to
make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy

Maybe . . . You should always try to put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that something
could hurt you,
it probably will hurt the other person, too.

Maybe . . .
you can accomplish what you want without codependently “giving in” your
needs, and yet not trample on the needs, sensitivities and feelings of others.

Maybe . . . You should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it is simply
to leave them alone.

Maybe . . . There are moments in life when you miss someone - a parent, a spouse, a love,
a friend, a child - so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them
for real, so that once they are around, you appreciate them more.

Maybe . . . Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, but ends with a tear.

Maybe . . . It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, (what?) an hour to like
(really?) and a day to love someone, (that’s better); but it takes a lifetime to forget
and you really truly fall in love only once in a lifetime.

Maybe . . . Nobody is perfect until you fall in love with them.

Maybe . . . Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back.
Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but if it doesn't,
be content
that it grew in yours.

Maybe . . .
You shouldn’t cry over anyone
who won't cry over you.

Maybe . . . You shouldn't go for looks; they can deceive; don't go for wealth; even that
fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a
dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Maybe . . . And just as the holy scriptures tell us not “to cast your pearls before swine”
(pigs don’t appreciate the value or worth of pearls),
should you waste your love
by bestowing it on those not worthy of it: yet don’t ever hesitate to bestow it on those who
appreciate it, know from whence it comes,
and savour it.

Maybe . . . The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; after all, you can't
go on successfully in life until you let go of your past mistakes, failures and heartaches.

Maybe . . . We were supposed to meet the wrong people, for whom we were the wrong
person, before meeting the right one; so that, when we finally meet the right person,
we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

Maybe . . . We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge. People make mistakes
– or get scared and do things they normally wouldn’t.

Maybe . . . . . . healing is not only possible, and people can heal – many do heal - no matter
how wounded they were.
They’ll have days of darkness, but they keep trying – and move
forward . . . it is possible. . .  many make it . . . becoming productive, and often very creative
. . . One young woman I know is doing exactly that: she writes beautiful poetry . . .

Maybe . . . People only see what they are prepared (or want) to see, . . .  and get caught in
that field of limited view.

Maybe . . . It is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true
we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives.

Maybe . . . When the door of happiness closes, another opens; but often times, we look so
long at the closed door
that we don't even see the new one which has been opened for us.

Maybe . . . Many people will walk in and out or your life, but only true friends will leave
footprints in your heart.

Maybe . . . Best friends are the siblings God forgot to give us.

Maybe . . . Good friends are hard to find, and harder to leave, but are impossible to forget.

Maybe . . . When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look
beside you and your
Best Friend will be there.

Maybe . . . The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with,
never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever

Maybe . . . Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day,
in all the thousand small uncaring ways.

Maybe . . . You shouldn’t let the past hold you back, you're missing the good stuff.

Maybe . . . You don’t believe in yourself until someone reveals that deep inside you is
valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch.

Once you believe in yourself you can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight
or any experience that reveals the human spirit.

Maybe . . . You should dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go, be what
you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you
dream of, and want to do.

Maybe . . . You should watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Maybe . . . Many things in life will catch your eye but few will catch your heart . . .
Pursue those.

Maybe . . . You should try to live your life to the fullest because when you were born,
you were crying and everyone around you was smiling but when you die, you can be the
one who is smiling and everyone around you crying.

Maybe . . . You should do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized

Maybe . . . Great truths are portions of the soul of humankind; Great souls are portions of

Maybe . . . S/he who controls others may be powerful, but if you have mastered yourself,
you are mightier still.

Maybe . . . You should hold on to what is good, even if it is a handful of earth. And hold on
to what you believe,
even if it is a tree which stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do,
even if it is a long way from here. Hold on to life, even when it is easier to let go. Hold on
to my hand,
even when I seem to have gone away from you.

Maybe . . . You could send this message to those people who mean something to you,
to those who have touched your life, one way or another, to those who can and do make
you smile when you really need it, to those who make you see the brighter side of things
when you are really down, and to all those whom you want to let know that you appreciate
them and their friendship.
How Does Your Garden Grow?
Kind hearts are the gardens,
Kind thoughts are the roots,
Kind words are the flowers,
Kind deeds are the fruits.

Take care of your garden
And keep out the weeds,
Fill it with sunshine
Kind words and kind deeds.

If there is no passion in your life,
then have you really lived?
Find your passion, whatever it may be.
Become it,
and let it become you
and you will find great things happen
FOR you,
TO you
BECAUSE of you. 3

Note: the words “should” and “could” were used in the conditional tense; not as a
synonym for “must”.  This is not just a “grammar thing” - forgetting that
difference can lead to misunderstanding - in daily life  – and the point of this post.
