Life is an eternal dance.
The movements of the dance
are choreographed
through your awareness.

Every movement is part of the dance;
therefore, every space-time
event is meaningful and necessary.
It is the order within the chaos.

In life,
there are many things
that we have to learn
to let go.

Letting go of your past
and memories
are extremely hard.

Some things wear out and cannot be repaired . . .
Sometimes death takes loved ones away . .
Sometimes people leave . . .
. . . and fade away – as if it never was . . .

And even though old memories can be tormenting,
you might be holding on to the past
and refuse to move forward.

Refusing to let go of the painful past, however,
will serve as a roadblock to life, love and healing.

Letting go of your old self
and the process of letting the new you emerge,
can be one of the scariest experiences in your life.

But by leaving behind your old self
and taking a leap of faith into the unknown,
it might just reveal
what you are truly capable of becoming.
1

As you begin the process of letting go,
certain things become clearer to you . . .
To let go doesn't mean to stop caring;
It means I can't do it for someone else,
and that no  one can do it for
me . . .

To let go is not to cut myself off . . .
It's the realization that I can't control another . . .
and that I should allow no one to control me.

To let go is not to enable,
but to allow learning from natural consequences;
thus instilling a sense of responsibility
and ownership of one’s actions.

To let go is to admit powerlessness in certain areas of life,
which means not all outcomes are in my hands,
because others have their own journey who’s destination is
different from what I think it “should” be.

To let go is not to try
and change or blame another;
I can only change myself,
but I can encourage and support others to do the same.

To let go is not to care
for,
but to care
about others;
as it is for others to care about
me.

To let go is not to fix,
but to be supportive;
encouragement helps others find the solutions that fit them.

To let go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being;
as I wish to be allowed to be
me.

To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their own outcomes;
their life and journey is theirs, as mine belongs to me.

To let go is not to be protective,
it is to permit another to face reality,
so that s/he will overcome those fears that paralyze growth.

To let go is not to deny,
but to accept,
as I want to be accepted.

To let go is not to nag, scold, or argue,
but to search out my own shortcomings and correct them,
for if I do this honestly,
I will not have time to interfere with others.

To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes and cherish the moment,
and fully immerse myself in all its detail and richness,
no matter what it brought
– that’s how I grow.

To let go is not to criticize and regulate anyone,
but to try to become what I dream I can be,
and allow others to be who they are,
and support them in their effort to become who they can also be.

To let go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and live for the future,
and encourage others to do the same,
through example.

To let go is to fear less
and love more,
and to accept love. 2

   Let . . .

let me breathe
and feel alive
and not be taken in by whims and fancies
of uncertain faith and wavering feelings.

let me be still
immersed in bliss
to be content of simple affection
for small mercies and warm solace.

let me be
and let me be free
from complications and trivial desires
of drowning wants and unwanted needs.

let me breathe
and feel alive

let me be still
immersed in bliss

let me be
and let me be free 3
Let go.
And remind yourself that this very moment
is the only one you know you have for sure.
