There was always some obstacle
in the way of
my “life”.
It dawned on me
that these obstacles
were my life! 4
Necessity is not the main motivator to get in gear.
Refusing to accept things as they are,
is the main motivator for getting off your duff. 5
Those who say that you can’t step in the same river twice have it wrong;
the river does not change – only the water does.
Just as we can step in that old river as many times as we like,
where only the water is different and changed; not the river itself,
we can at any time, in the river of our lives, return to any place in it,
renewed with different inner water - changed -
and make a new beginning toward a different outcome.
It is neither ever impossible, nor too late
to make a new beginning for a new ending.
I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet,
simple things of life which are the real ones after all. 6
Today is the first day of the rest of your life
in the way of
my “life”.
